Why I am absolutely obsessed with this eco-friendly body oil!Beauty
A few years ago, my bestie and I went away to Mexico for one last hurrah before I got married. And the most important thing on our beauty bags that week was a body oil. Now it’s become my ultimate summer fave — something I slather on after every shower and/or every day spent in the sun.
Last fall, The Detox Market announced they were launching their own line, and their first product was, thankfully, a body oil. And it has now become my absolute favourite on beauty shelves. It is lightweight (yes, that’s actually possible for an oil), super hydrating (hello, grape seed oil and vitamin E), and it smells like no other body product I have ever used (it is pretty gender neutral, in the most delicious way possible). The formula is made up of the two aforementioned ingredients, as well as jojoba and macadamia nut oils, as well as notes of citrus, patchouli and coriander (where it gets it’s divine scent from).
I mostly use it over my body, but have also started to use it on my cuticles, rough heels and elbows and sometimes in my hair for a little treatment before I shampoo. And it excels in all these areas. One thing to remember though — I spray the oil into my hands instead of directly on my limbs, because after the first time I tried it, my husband almost took a major spill while walking into our bathroom (sorry, boo bear!)
The Detox Market has since launched two new sku’s — a body polish and a balm — both of which also rank high on my list of multi-tasking favourites. But the body oil! When I ran out earlier this spring, I nearly had a beauty panic attack and made sure to get my hands on another bottle just in time for summer.
